🌸 pizza pārā review. 🌸

Well, what can I say? This one isn't going to be good. Unfortunately from my (many) experiences of eating out in a restaurant, this was left to be desired. So, where should I start? Maybe here.

Pizza Pārā is an Italian restaurant/cafÊ which serves pizza, pasta, antipasti starters, wine (of course) and other various food/beverages, you get the drill. One good thing (well, the only good thing) was the interior which creates a rustic feel. As for everything else - well... eh.

The rustic interior, the only decent thing here. Even the water bottle was dirty (sadly) + water was just left out.

To start off, customer service was absolutely poor. When entering the restaurant, a member of staff had no idea about the Fever tickets and I had to speak to a manager (who told me to verify the tickets via the app). After verification, my mum and I sat down and browsed the menu. The tickets I booked included a package of pasta/pizza of your choice with a glass of wine. There were limited options for wine given that most were from the bottle (which of course required you to spend more money); altogether for red, white and rose there were 12 options to choose from (all 125ml glasses for £10+ which was very unusual as you would get 175ml or 250ml glasses for this price). Due to having my aligners, I opted for pinot grigio (as I can't have red wine) and my mum opted for malbec (red wine). I only finished my wine because I didn't want to waste it whereas my mum drank ½.

The food we ordered consisted of pasta dishes; I ordered a spaghetti bolognese whilst my mum got a linguine dish with pesto and nuts. Unfortunately, the pasta was very bland and needed to be saved with seasoning. Even with salt and pepper, it was still bland. Also, there was a LOT of parmesan cheese added, causing the pasta to be oily and greasy. I can be funny with cheese in food (mainly due to texture aversion and also, certain cheeses are too strong for me). We couldn't finish our food and unfortunately needed celery/ginger juice to detox our insides. My mum also had a stomachache which caused her to feel ill.

After leaving the restaurant, no staff member noticed we weren't at the table. There was no thank you for attending or an opportunity for staff to ask about feedback. Due to the poor experience, I had to call the restaurant to request a refund (which is in process as sadly, Fever refused to give me a refund and I had to turn to my bank and now Citizens' Advice) especially given that service was not as advertised.

It was an honest shame that my first time in this restaurant ended so badly as I wanted to ensure my mum and I had a good experience. All I will say is I won't recommend as it felt like being in a live edition of Kitchen Nightmares. I am not sure as to whether this was how service operates given that I booked tickets for ÂŁ17 (each) through a 3rd party. As for Fever, I wouldn't recommend using them to book events anymore because it is very difficult to get in contact with customer service when you have issues (that and certain events are advertised differently).

As always, thank you for reading my blog post for today. I will soon return with more food reviews and will also begin to add some more travel related posts, starting with the Bandai Namco Cross Store tour!

Well, until next time, sayonara for now. 🩷
